The Institute for Humane Studies offers flexible funding for graduate students looking to advance their academic careers through the Humane Studies Fellowship. This funding program supports PhD students in their academic pursuits by offsetting costs related to continuing research, preparing for dissertation defenses, presenting work at top conferences, publishing in major journals, and other activities essential for success on the job market.

In addition to financial support, these awards provide aspiring scholars with access to future IHS opportunities, such as mentorship, career development programs, and more.

Graduate students can receive up to $5,000 in support!
