Populist Attitudes in America

Overview

What was the frequency of populist sentiments among the US electorate during the 2024 presidential race and what was the populist following of each of the presidential candidates?

The Institute for Humane Studies invites faculty, graduate students, and practitioners to discuss the results of the August 2024 survey, “Populist Attitudes in America,” developed by the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism (ISMA) and fielded by YouGov.

Tom Shull, ISMA’s director of survey research, will present on the survey design and results before opening the floor for Q&A and discussion.

The session opens at 12:00 PM ET on Friday, May 2, and concludes by 1:30 PM ET.

If you are a scholar or practitioner with interest in this area, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
