Andy Craig

Liberalism Fellow

Andy Craig is a fellow at the Institute for Humane Studies. His work is focused on issues of liberalism, pluralism, and democracy, and in particular election law and electoral reform. Craig’s analysis and recommendations have been cited by members of both parties in Congress, and in numerous state legislatures, and been incorporated into legislation such as the Electoral Count Reform Act of 2022. His work has appeared in outlets including the Washington Post, Fox News, MSNBC, The Nation, and Politico, and he is a regular columnist for The UnPopulist. Craig has also written on topics such as constitutional law and American history, and has worked on campaign communications for candidates at the local, state, and national level. In addition to his role at IHS, he is an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute and a senior fellow in election policy at the Joseph H. Rainey Center.
