Duty Free? A Happy Hour Talk on Tariffs and Democracy

Overview

How do tariffs undermine prosperity and economic freedom? And how do protectionist policies entrench special interests and fuel political dysfunction?

Join the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS), the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism (ISMA), and Scott Lincicome of the CATO Institute for this timely conversation over drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Members of ISMA will kick off the discussion with brief opening remarks before an IHS representative facilitates Q&A with Scott Lincicome. Time will be reserved at the end for general conversation and networking among attendees.
