Weekend Exploring Liberty examines the historical, economic, and philosophical foundations of a free society and how these principles apply to contemporary issues. The seminar brings together undergraduates for an introduction to classical liberal ideas during an informative and enjoyable weekend of lectures, discussions, and evening socials.

The seminar will examine the importance of liberty in civil society. You'll be encouraged to ask fundamental questions about government intervention and private initiatives such as:

  • What is the proper role of government?
  • How should societies balance individual rights and public interests?

"The brilliance of speakers and the inquiring minds of the participants make this a can't miss for anyone even slightly curious about the classic liberal view of the world."
