Think critically about timeless questions related to the relationship between liberty and society, examining them through the interdisciplinary lens of economics, philosophy, history, political science, and more. Intended for those who have a solid understanding of fundamental classical liberal principles and thinkers, these seminars go beyond the basics of free markets to explore more sophisticated arguments for liberty.

Liberty & Society: Beyond the Foundations of Freedom
Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania
Bryn Mawr College is one the nation’s top private colleges just ten miles from the cradle of liberty: Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this bucolic setting you will be exposed to lively lectures and engaging discussions on ways the ideas of liberty have changed the course of human events.
You’re down the street from one of the biggest historical locations in the history of freedom: Independence Hall! So when you’re not sparring colleagues on the top ten historical moments in the history of liberty, we strongly suggest hopping on a train (or driving if you have your own wheels) to the heart of Philadelphia! Stroll the streets that Ben Franklin and other greats walked or take in exhibits at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Or, if you’re up for an original gastronomic experience, chow down an original cheesesteak sandwich or a soft pretzel. Or just hang out in the local eateries of downtown Bryn Mawr. (You’re free to do as you like.)
