Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives
June 19-22 ● Bryn Mawr College, Philadelphia, PA area

The notions of Freedom weren’t just handed to us. They were ideas raised and refined over the course of history. And they’re still being refined today. That’s why this seminar will provide you with the long-term view you need to understand where the ideas and dialogue of liberty are going by having a better idea of where they’ve been.

Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives

Bryn Mawr College is one the nation’s top private colleges just ten miles from the cradle of liberty: Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this bucolic setting you will be exposed to lively lectures and engaging discussions on historical perspectives in the ideas of liberty.

But speaking of gaining a historical perspective on liberty…hellooooo! You’re down the street from one of the biggest historical locations in the history of freedom: Independence Hall! So when you’re not sparring colleagues on the top ten historical moments in the history of liberty, we strongly suggest hopping on a train (or driving if you have your own wheels) to the heart of Philadelphia! Stroll the streets that Ben Franklin and his fellow libertarians walked or take in exhibits at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Or, if you’re up for an original gastronomic experience, chow down an original cheesesteak sandwich or a soft pretzel. Or just hang out in the local eateries of downtown Bryn Mawr. (You’re free to do as you like.)
