Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives
June 19-22 ● Bryn Mawr College, Philadelphia, PA area

The notions of Freedom weren’t just handed to us. They were ideas raised and refined over the course of history. And they’re still being refined today. That’s why this seminar will provide you with the long-term view you need to understand where the ideas and dialogue of liberty are going by having a better idea of where they’ve been.

Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives

June 19-22 ● Bryn Mawr College, Philadelphia, PA area

The notions of Freedom weren’t just handed to us by some omniscient force. They were ideas raised and refined over the course of history by thinkers like Locke, Smith, Mill, Bentham and others, each building on what had been previously thought then adding a new notion to evolve these ideas.

In the Foundations of Liberty: Historical Perspectives seminar, you’ll take a close look at how a perspective on the history of liberty insures relevancy of the ideas today. You’ll learn how history, philosophy, and economics are all related and, more importantly, how they are a vital part of the history of classical liberalism.

Lecturers include historian Steve Davies, philosopher Chris Freiman, and economist Jayme Lemke.
