Chad Wilcox

Chad Wilcox joined the Institute for Humane Studies in May 2005 and currently serves as director of network relations. In this role, he oversees IHS's programs and processes to connect talented students and scholars with opportunities to advance liberty. His responsibilities include supervision of the selective IHS Mentoring Program for top young talent, IHS's Find Scholars service to help freedom-friendly scholars increase the exposure of their work, and IHS's external relations activities. Since 2007, Chad has also served as IHS’s director of alumni relations. Previous responsibilities have included supervising IHS's public policy and journalism programs, executing IHS program marketing, and coordinating IHS's hiring efforts.

Prior to joining the Institute, Chad served as marketing director for Vanderbilt Student Communications, Inc. at Vanderbilt University. Chad holds a M.Ed. in organizational leadership and a B.A. in political science and economics, both from Vanderbilt. Additionally, Chad is an alumnus of IHS's summer seminar program. Chad’s interests include the Tennessee Titans, craft beer and cocktails, and liberty!
