Adam Martin directs the Humane Studies Fellowship at IHS. He is also the F.A. Hayek Fellow in the Program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at George Mason University. His research interests include economic development, political economy, and the philosophy of economics. He has published and forthcoming articles in journals such as Public Choice, Cambridge Journal of Economics, The Journal of Economic Methodology, and Studies in Emergent Order. Prior to visiting IHS he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Development Research Institute at New York University and a visiting fellow with both the Social Ontology Group at Cambridge  as well as the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke.
