 Pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in filmmaking or fiction writing in the 2008-09 academic school year? Apply for one of our Film and Fiction Scholarships!

Over the past eight years, the Institute for Humane Studies awarded more than $250,000 to students pursuing graduate work in Film Directing, Production, Screenwriting, and Prose Fiction Writing. IHS provides this support to promising young filmmakers and writers who share an appreciation for the potential and promise of a free society.

Finalist applications and creative works will be judged by our MFA Review Committee. Past members include:

Maura Flynn — Documentary Film Producer

Paul Guay — Screenwriter

Jim Hubbard — Documentary Film Producer

Elizabeth Koch — Executive Editor of a literary magazine
