IHS collects personal information on a voluntary basis in the form of visitor profiles, site registrations, program applications, and/or survey information. This may include mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, education information, and interests. In addition, IHS collects general information about pages visited or accessed.
The information collected is used internally to improve and customize web content and to contact and update consumers who requested information. This information is never sold or shared with organizations for commercial purposes.
Personal information can be updated by logging into your membership profile online.

Cookies are used to store visitors' preferences, personalize web content, alert visitors of new content, and track site usage. They are not used to extract personal information.
IHS does not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

The Institute for Humane Studies approaches our Internet communications with respect for and commitment to individual privacy. Customer information may intermittently be used for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in the privacy statement. The Institute for Humane Studies uses a third party service called Tatango to assist in providing text message reminders. If you opt for us to provide you with text message reminders, standard text message and data carrier rates may apply.
When you opt to receive messages, phone numbers are stored in our system and provided to Tatango to assist in fulfilling the request, help us analyze the usefulness of the offering, and to maintain the list of people who opt out of the SMS alerts after receiving a text. The particular service, how it works, and the services performed may vary over time.
