Jennifer Thompson

Jennifer K. Thompson is Director of Educational Programs at the Institute for Humane Studies, where she works with the program staff for our online and in-person educational and general talent development programs.

Jennifer was previously vice president of Co-Sponsored Programs at Liberty Fund, Inc., where she oversaw dozens of conferences a year with 14 institutions, including IHS, Cato, the Federalist Society, the Fund for American Studies, Students for Liberty, and others.  Jennifer also served as fellow at Liberty Fund, and she previously taught at Northwestern University and Vanderbilt University. She is a contributor to Philanthropy Daily, where she blogs on issues in non-profit management and educational measurement. She holds a PhD and MA in philosophy from Vanderbilt and undergraduate degrees in philosophy and economics from the University of Tulsa. She is a graduate of the Education for Ministry program at The University of the South.

Jennifer lives in Indianapolis with her two young daughters, Isabel and Anna, and her husband, blues musician Danny Hargrove.
