Mollie Ziegler Hemingway

Mollie Ziegler Hemingway is a reporter based in Washington, D.C. She has a column in the Wall Street Journal and is a regular contributor to “GetReligion,” a website about the media coverage of religion. After completing her BA in Economics from the University of Colorado, Mollie got her start in journalism at Radio & Records, the trade publication for the radio and recording industries. From there she moved to Gannett’s the Federal Times where she covered regulatory affairs.
In 2004 Mollie won the Phillips Foundation Journalism Fellowship. This program permitted her to spend a year researching and writing Losing Our Religion, a book on the changing shape of civil religion in America. She is preparing that book for publication.
