Frank Stephenson is an associate professor of economics and chair of the economics department at Berry College in Rome, GA. A native of North Carolina, he holds a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University and a doctorate from North Carolina State University. Professor Stephenson teaches introductory economics and upper-level courses in law and economics, public finance, and sports economics. His research has been published in journals includingPublic ChoiceJournal of Monetary Economics, and Journal of Labor Research, and he blogs on economics and other topics for Division of Labour (www.divisionoflabour.com). When not writing, teaching, or blogging, he enjoys biking on Berry’s 28,000-acre campus, homebrewing, and spending time with his five year old son Will. Professor Stephenson’s has taught at many IHS summer seminars, and he considers spending a week with bright students, talented instructors, and dedicated IHS staffers to be a highlight of his year.
